由香港中文大學(xué)（深圳）生命與健康科學(xué)學(xué)院主辦，崗宏青年學(xué)者發(fā)展基金、科比爾卡創(chuàng)新藥物開(kāi)發(fā)研究院、深圳市甾體類(lèi)藥物研發(fā)重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室支持的首屆學(xué)院學(xué)術(shù)交流會(huì)——LHS Research Day 2021在8月13日成功舉行?；顒?dòng)以線(xiàn)上線(xiàn)下模式同時(shí)舉行，吸引了近200名師生參與。

The very first school-wide scientific forum of School of Life and Health Sciences (LHS), LHS Research Day 2021, was successfully held on 8 August, 2021. Supported by Ganghong Young Scholar Development Fund, Kobilka Institute of Innovative Drug Discovery and Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Steroid Drug Discovery and Development, the forum was hosted by School of Life and Health Sciences of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. The event was held on-site in Administration Building?as well as online simultaneously, which attracted nearly 200 audiences.?

在本次活動(dòng)中，來(lái)自生命與健康科學(xué)學(xué)院的年輕學(xué)者和學(xué)生進(jìn)行了10場(chǎng)演講，展示了11張海報(bào)。生命與健康科學(xué)學(xué)院院長(zhǎng)葉德全教授進(jìn)行開(kāi)幕致辭。“這是一個(gè)科學(xué)博覽會(huì)，這是一個(gè)學(xué)術(shù)博覽會(huì)。但它也類(lèi)似一個(gè)嘉年華。它是我們的研究嘉年華”。中國(guó)科學(xué)院上海藥物研究所受體結(jié)構(gòu)與功能重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室主任徐華強(qiáng)教授作為本次活動(dòng)的主旨演講人，分享了激素受體結(jié)構(gòu)生物學(xué)的最新研究進(jìn)展和關(guān)于藥物發(fā)現(xiàn)的思考。“結(jié)構(gòu)生物學(xué)充滿(mǎn)前途，還有很多問(wèn)題等待我們回答。”

Featuring 10 talks and 11 posters by young scholars and students of LHS, the event began with remarks from Dean Prof. Richard Ye, “It's a scientific fair, it's an academic fair, but it's similar to what we have for carnival. It's our research carnival.” Recent research advances in structural biology of hormone receptors and thoughtful insights of drug discovery were shared by Prof. H. Eric Xu, Director of Key Laboratory for Receptor Research at Shanghai Institute of Material Medica, who served as keynote speaker opening this event. “Structural biology is promising, there are still many questions for us to answer.”

十位有著不同研究興趣的演講者進(jìn)行了具有啟發(fā)性的演講。演講集中在四個(gè)不同方面的最新進(jìn)展，包括計(jì)算生物學(xué)、結(jié)構(gòu)生物學(xué)、細(xì)胞生物學(xué)和核酸研究。伴隨著研究成果的展示，演講者和聽(tīng)眾間熱烈的討論亦對(duì)與會(huì)學(xué)生及研究者產(chǎn)生了深遠(yuǎn)影響?！斑@是我第一次在正式的學(xué)術(shù)交流會(huì)上發(fā)表報(bào)告，”大四本科生劉燁州分享道，“在問(wèn)答環(huán)節(jié)，我從資深研究者那里學(xué)到了很多東西?！?/p>

10 speakers with different research interests gave inspiring talk presentations. The talks focused on recent advances in four different aspects, computational biology, structural biology, cellular biology and nucleic acids. Accompanied by showcasing the research outcomes, heated discussions between speakers and audience held as an impact on the future of the student researchers involved. “It is the first time I speak in a formal research symposium”, Yezhou Liu, a Year 4 undergraduate student shared, “and I really learnt a lot from senior researchers in the Q&A discussion.”

11 well-designed posters were exhibited outsides the Seminar Hall. Accompanying their posters, each presenter introduced their works in front of the audiences and led discussions of featured research outcomes. “I hope that this event will continue, so that there will be more communications and discussions between research groups, and more academic collaboration and exchanges will be promoted”, said Liping Deng, a postgraduate student of LHS. 在為期一天的活動(dòng)結(jié)束之際，深圳前海邦勤投資有限公司總經(jīng)理兼創(chuàng)始合伙人劉明宇博士就研究成果轉(zhuǎn)化與創(chuàng)新企業(yè)的轉(zhuǎn)化與研究成果與社會(huì)需求間的聯(lián)系，發(fā)表了主題演講?！靶枰盐占夹g(shù)思維和學(xué)術(shù)思維的動(dòng)態(tài)平衡”，“寧可冒技術(shù)風(fēng)險(xiǎn)，也不冒市場(chǎng)風(fēng)險(xiǎn)”。

To conclude this whole-day event, Dr. Mingyu Liu, the general manager and founding partner of Bioching Capital gave a keynote speech on the transformation of research achievements and innovative enterprises, linking the research outcomes and social needs. “You need to keep a dynamic balance of technical thinking and academic thinking”, “Rather to take technical risks than market risks”.
