香港中文大學(xué)（深圳）人文社科學(xué)院講師Gregory Jones-Katz博士的新作將由芝加哥大學(xué)出版社出版發(fā)行。芝加哥大學(xué)出版社（The University of Chicago Press）創(chuàng)立于1890年，是美國(guó)最早建立、規(guī)模最大的大學(xué)出版社，出版了大量學(xué)術(shù)著作和期刊，包括著名的《美國(guó)社會(huì)學(xué)期刊》（American Journal of Sociology）和《政治經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)期刊》（Journal of Political Economics），旨在傳播一流學(xué)術(shù)知識(shí)，提高教育與公眾知識(shí)水平，豐富公眾文化生活，影響深遠(yuǎn)，對(duì)芝加哥經(jīng)濟(jì)、社會(huì)學(xué)派的建立與傳播均作出極大貢獻(xiàn)。

Gregory Jones-Katz博士，美國(guó)伊利諾伊州惠頓學(xué)院（Wheaton College）歷史學(xué)學(xué)士；緬因大學(xué)（The University of Maine）歷史學(xué)碩士，主修當(dāng)代歐洲思想史；威斯康星大學(xué)麥迪遜分校（The University of Wisconsin-Madison）歷史學(xué)博士，主修當(dāng)代美國(guó)史。研究領(lǐng)域及教學(xué)方向涵蓋哲學(xué)史、文學(xué)史、文學(xué)批評(píng)與文學(xué)理論史、高等教育史、歐美思想文化運(yùn)動(dòng)潮流、歷史哲學(xué)、科學(xué)編史學(xué)以及歷史寫(xiě)作的理論與實(shí)踐，對(duì)雅克·德里達(dá)及其解構(gòu)主義研究頗深。目前任我校講師，講授“西方歷史之傳統(tǒng)與變革”“從音樂(lè)看20世紀(jì)美國(guó)文化史”及“思想中的冒險(xiǎn)：1865年以來(lái)美國(guó)的思想生活”三門(mén)課程。
